At Metal Tech, Our Commitment to Safety Supersedes All Else, and Is Simply, Our First Priority.

Our safety initiatives have been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Labor as a “Carolina STAR” company. This recognition is awarded to companies that exhibit leadership in the areas of safety and health, and those that offer a commitment to continued safety on the job site. The Carolina Star programs are designed to promote effective safety and health management.

In the STAR program, management, employees, and representatives from the Occupational and Health Safety Administration establish a cooperative relationship with one another to establish the following guidelines:

  • Management agrees to operate an effective program that meets an established set of safety criteria
  • Employees agree to participate in the program and work with management to ensure a safe and healthful workplace.
  • Participation in the STAR program illustrates the company’s goal to be a leader in safety and health.

Safety is our highest priority at Metal Tech. Our company culture emphasizes safety and following the health code in every job whether at the shop or in the field. The success of Metal Tech’s longevity has been directly attributed to the safety of our employees over the years. It is of the utmost importance that our employees return to their families in one piece, exactly how they left them to come to work in the morning.

At Metal Tech, we conduct weekly meetings between our safety manager, project managers, and employees. Our managers and employees have participated in over 500 hours of safety training. After every job, our safety manager debriefs with the project manager and associated workers to ensure we learn from each experience and continuously improve our attention to safety. As a member of Carolina Star, we are not only committed to upholding the highest safety standards, but we are committed to being an exemplary leader as well.
