Metal Tech was founded more than 38 years ago and is a privately held, family-owned business. The company is an integral part of the community in Northeastern North Carolina and prides itself on recycling our dollars and giving back to the community.

Metal Tech is an active member of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, Gates County Chamber of Commerce and the Northeastern Partnership Committee of 100.
Ray Felton, owner of Metal Tech, is a native of Eure, North Carolina where he remains active in the local business community. Ray has served as president of the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Gates County School Board, Hertford County Partners for Education, Gates County Committee for Educational Excellence and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Chowan University.
Charities supported by Metal Tech include the American Cancer Society's, Relay for Life, Hunters Helping Kids, Ducks Unlimited as well as local churches and schools. We are proud to say that our employees have raised more than $150,000 for the Hertford-Gates Relay for Life event
