Our safety initiatives have been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Labor as a "Carolina STAR" company. This recognition is awarded to companies that exhibit leadership in the areas of safety and health, and those that offer a commitment to continued safety on the job site. The Carolina Star programs are designed to promote effective safety and health management.

In the STAR program, management, employees and representatives from the Occupational and Health Safety Administration establish a cooperative relationship with one another to establish the following guidelines:

  • Management agrees to operate an effective program that meets an established set of safety criteria
  • Employees agree to participate in the program and work with management to ensure a safe and healthful workplace.
  • Participation in the STAR program illustrates the company's goal to be a leader in safety and health.
